What this site collects.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics and PostHog to count page views and see which pages people read. Neither loads until you accept the cookie banner. If you accept, they record the pages you visit, the referring site, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, and they set cookies (names starting with _ga and ph_) to recognize repeat visits. Advertising features are turned off. Browsers that send Do Not Track are not tracked by PostHog.
If you decline, no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so the banner does not ask again.
Contact form
When you send a message, your name, email address, and message are emailed to me through Resend, an email delivery service. They are not stored in a database on this site. To limit spam, your IP address is held in server memory for up to 10 minutes to count recent messages, then discarded. The form may show a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which Cloudflare runs to tell people from bots.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard request logs (time, page requested, and IP address) for operating and securing the site.
Your choice and questions
You can change your analytics choice at any time with , also linked in the footer. Withdrawing consent removes the analytics cookies from your browser. For anything else, including deleting a message you sent, email me@owdenmagnusen.com.
